Ha - I remember the first time I saw this thread I laughed. Since then I opened a new old bottle of Mobil 1 ATF that smelled like dog excrement. Worse than any other ATF I recall being exposed to. It was in the dark gunmetal bottle. I ended up not using it since it smelled so much different than the newer Mobil 1 ATF I had.

Valvoline CVT fluid is by far the worst smelling that I've ever had the displeasure of smelling. ATF+4 smelled better!
