yes aquarius it's a 6-sp and it has 'paper' synchros which doesn't sound good but i've never seen one. they talk about multi-cone synchros on their site
I've heard the synchros in WC T5s and the T6 called 'paper', 'organic', 'fiber-lined', 'composite' and even 'kevlar'.
They are smooth-shifting MTs, IMHO, and there were many units put in service over the years. I think the 6-cylinder Mustang still uses a T5 to this day.
The 80`s era 300ZX Z31`s used the T5 as well. Those trannies are indestructable. I wish they continued to use the T5`s in the Z32`s. The Z32`s w/manual trannies always have gear crunch issues. I`ve never seen a T5 with those issues. I`ve been told that if a tranny is made with the slightest misalignment,even in the casing,that it`ll throw the entire tranny off.
