ATF fluid to 2003 GM 4L60E

Tryed to search the forum treads for alternative fluid to my Suburban -2003 with no luck. Bad to search i guess

What i found is that GM Dexron VI is recommended. The user manual from 2003 says Dexron III H. I cant find the Dexron VI here in Sweden but i can get a good price on the Q8 Unitrans JK Unitrans JK Its designed for Aisin Warner AW and i use it in our Volvo´s with AW tranny.
It should meet the Dexron IIIH specs due to Product specification.
Can i use this ATF fluid in our Chevy Suburban z71 5,3 2003 ?

You certainly can.

DexronIIIH was the last upgrade before DexronVI.

Can you get Valvoline Maxlife Dex/Merc there?

If it meets dex 3 specs, then it will be fine in your tranny

I'm always a little skeptical of a product that has such wide specifications to different types of usage.
But then Q8 Unitrans JK is specified for Dexron III H, so is it ok to use it.
Thanks it helps when I can use the same ATF fluid in all the cars we have.
Valvoline MaxLife is another option that I have not seen but it is available to buy here so thanks for that advice, I have more options if one is out of stock.

I've used Maxlife DexMerc in my old 2004 4L60E. It worked fine.

Follow up after my oil/filter change.
I chosed to use the Q8 Unitrans JK fluid when i already had it to our Volvo´s with Aisin transmisions.
So far its working really fine with silk smoth shifts. It was a Little rough anh hesitating in shifting Before the fluid change and the old fluid was really not red any more.

Yep the 4Ls aren't really that picky on fluid. The 4T can be.
