Not so much about ATF as it is the design of the pan. Wouldn't it be so much simpler if car designers put a drain plug into the bottom/side/rear of the pan. It would allow all of the fluid to drain into your catch pan, easily. It sure would be easier than trying the old remove all the bolts but two on the high side and try to drain the fluid out of the low side.
I changed my ATF and Filter tonight and created the most unholy mess on my garage floor. I was smart enough to put a two-part epoxy on the floor earlier this year. The clean up was easy, but it took an entire rol of paper towels.
Any thoughts/commets?
