Go CARDS! We Yankee fans are pulling for ya!

Amkeer......yea, I get attitude all the time too for being a Yanks fan. Goes with the turf I guess. But really, if someone has a love for the game of baseball they have to acknowledge and appreciate what the Sox did. Same goes for the Yanks comeback in last years ALCS and the game 7, Boone HR. It was incredible suspense. Great for the game!

And as far as misery goes, I'm no stranger to that my friend. You see, I'm also a life long NY Rangers fan

. If your Sox win the championship it could end up being your 1994 cause my Yanks will be back with a vengence next year

I am not really very interested in baseball (I watch the World Series sometimes). But I am glad that some team other then the Yankees will go to the World Series for a change. I get tired of the same team making it so many times. I have nothing against the Yankees but they have made it to the World Series and won the World Series many times.

I work with a guy who is really a Yankees fanatic and I do mean fanatic. When I return to work I will have to be careful what I say about the Boston team beating the Yankees. This guy expects the Yankees to win the World Series every single year and goes nuts if the Yankees lose. And he is not from New York and has no other reason that I am aware of to be such a wild supporter of the Yankees. Around him I will probably just keep quiet when it comes to any discussion about the recent baseball games.

A few years back the two teams that have been such failures at reaching and winning the World Series (The Chicago and Boston teams) both had a chance to go to the World Series the same year. I wish they could have made it. I tend to support the underdog and I think it would be cool if a team that has not won the World Series or else has not won in a long time to win.

I feel the same way about pro football. I am a Denver Broncos fan but I would like to see every single team in the National Football League eventually make it to the Super Bowl and to have their chance. I don't expect the Denver Broncos to make it to the Super Bowl every year, so I can't understand why somebody would expect the New York Yankees to win the World Series every year.

We don't. We just didn't want to lose to the Red Sox

Understand that I am not trying to make any Yankee fan angry or anything. Boston has not made it to a World Series for a very long time and I think they won a World Series when they had Babe Ruth. That was a very, very long time ago. This is now their big chance. They need to do something with it.

The guy I work with who is a Yankee fan is such a fanatical Yankee fan that I will keep quiet about what happened between Boston and New York. The guy goes insane if anybody says anything negative about the Yankees. He even turns on the Yankees big time if they lose. He expects then to win a World Series every year-that would get boring, don't you think? Nobody knows why he is such an extreme fan of the Yankees. He is not from New York. There is no reason that anybody can come up with for him being a fan of the Yankees. But he would have to be considered an extreme fan.

I am a big fan of the Denver Broncos but I don't expect them to go to the Super Bowl and win the Super Bowl every year. Denver has been in six Super Bowls and won two-a poor record in the Super Bowl but they did make it six times and they did win twice. So I am fairly happy. Not that I would not like to see them make it again this year, of course. But if they don't I am not going to go insane.

Next opponent here........

It is interesting that the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox are both very good this year. Red Sox in the World Series (we will have to wait and see who wins). New England Patriots could easily wind up in another Super Bowl (unless Denver beats them!).

Should be a good game! Steelers are at home so the crowd will be fired up...

Mystic,

Its amazing that both teams re-wrote the record books in the same year too.

The Mets interviewed Willie Randolph today for the manager's job.

If he gets it, look for the Yanks to fire Torre and name Mattingly manager. The Yanks do not want to give Willie the job and his leaving makes it easier to fire Joe.

7 straight wins for the Red Sox! One more win for the WS Champs!!!!

Winning must be contagious.

St Louis looks confused. I expected it to be a close series.

Boston is just plain intimidating St. Louis. I guess after you kill the Yankees, anything else is a let down.....but I was hoping for better ball games. I mean Boston's defense was OK yesterday, but setting records for errors and up 3-0 is not a Series thing.....also it's clear the Cards miss their #1 pitcher.

But that's baseball, and why I love the sport.....I mean you gotta love the Boston guy (114 yo or so) that saw the last time they won the series and remembers with clarity.

Looks like the 'curse' put on the Boston Red Sox may be about over. The last I heard the Red Sox were up three runs in the sixth inning. And overhead there is a blood red Moon (Lunar eclipse).
