I hate NYY even more!!

Got I loved the last 4 games. The previous 3 were worth it for great baseball, extra innings and all...the last blow out was worth it just to see the stupid ex-Mariners puke.

Steinbrenner must have sh!t in his $5000 shorts............

Now if Houston can win, we'll have a real series.

Why would you hate Boston?
dunno.gif
Great city!

I'm in a National League city so I don't have a dog in this fight, but I'm happily surprised that Boston won over the Evil Empire. Also manager Terry Francona is my homeboy, he's from the town right next to mine. Too bad the Cubbies fell out though, that would have been a great World Series.

Today Steinbrenner has called Trump in to fire Torre. It will be recorded and sold on the internet.

The Yankees have one multiple championships, have won consecutive championships, have had hall of fame players. So have meny other tems.

Only one team has lost four straight games after winning the first three. Once again the Yankees stand alone!

Pablo what are you talking about? Boston is VERY clean and one of the nations oldest, cleanest and most historic cities. Weather is bad?
lol.gif
Yeah it gets cold but your state is home to SEATLE, give me a break.

I lived for years in Boston. Much cleaner than SF! If it hadn't been for the cold winters I would have never left there. I really liked spring and fall in MA. I'm not going to say anything about Seattle, as it's just as filthy as SF, with the addition of really crappy weather.

Pabs,

Traffic has cleared up considerably with the BIG DIG almost finished. Rude people, no, very passionate yes. You cross them you better get your boxing gloves ready. Its the old, irish heritage in the city.

Doug,

Why can't you stand the Red Sox? Pretty harsh statement there!

PNW weather is much better than Boston weather.
Summer day? Seattle
Winter day? Seattle

Any questions?

Boston is a big city. Filthy. OK not as dirty as L.A. or NY or Wa DC, but dirty none-the-less.

PS I don't live in Seattle. It's filthy.

I guess I'm a born and bred west coast guy. I do like China, though.

Boston is NOT filthy. It rains in Seattle too much. Philly is a dirty city! Not Boston. Downtown is very clean.

Compare mean rainfall of Seattle to most any east coast city. I dare you.

VERY common bad perception, but don't tell anyone.

Also NO nasty heat and some years it doesn't snow, other years just a little.

I will give you that the center of Boston, aquarium, etc are better than most big cities.

Life long Yankees fan here (as he puts on the body armor

) and as you all can guess, the Yanks unprecedented collapse is pretty tough to chew. Bummer...oh yea, major bummer. The fact that it happened at the hands of the Red Sox makes it almost unbearable. But now that it's over and my pulse and blood pressure has settled back down to almost normal levels, I have to hand it to the Red Sox (gulp, I think I'm going to be ill). They could have laid down and died after the whipping they took during game 3 but they didn't. The way they hung on, scratched and kicked and just powered their way back was something we'll not likely see again in our lifetime (at least thats what I'm hoping

).

The Red Sox deserve some serious kudos and I'm not afraid to say so. Sure I'm a pinstripes wearing, life long Yanks fan but I'm also a fan of the game and this series was the game at its finest! It was simply the most incredible display of guts, determination and perseverance I've ever witnessed in baseball.

Ok, that's all you people are gonna get out of me. No more nicey nice when it comes to the Red Sox. I'll be cheering on whoever they play in the series!!!!!

Mikep,

Thanks for coming out and saying that!

You wouldn't believe how many jealous sports fans I run into that won't even talk about sports since I am a Patriots and Red Sox fan. They have nothing good to say, no compliments, nothing. The rotten jealous fools!!!! I am the first to compliment when others do well.

I had to deal with the misery for years with the Patriots and Red Sox. The Celtics are another storied franchise, although they basically stink now. The Bruins have always been good too.

I was disgusted after game 3 and almost decided, ALMOST, not to watch another Red Sox game, EVER, they disgusted and let me down to often. Then I thought, hmmmmm, maybe, just maybe if they can win the next game that the Yanks will be to overconfident and allow a couple of wins.....

"Quitters Never Win and Winners Never Quit".

Cards lead in the seventh.....

After we get done 'messing with Texas', we'll go on to enforce the curse of the Bambino.

Go Cards! Bring another win back to the home of Schaeffer's.

Ever been to St. Louis? Weather sucks worse than Boston or Houston. No table manners. Dirtier too I'm sure, but we don't have fools like Kerry or Bush to make us look bad.

I can't stand the RS either. Bunch of dirtbags. Actually, I wouldn't mind them if Pedro wasn't on there team. That guy is the biggest prick in baseball.

Someone tried to convince me the weather is St. Louis is "mild"......hmmm......St. Louis has some great steaks, I'll give you that.

Hey it didn't rain here yesterday. In the afternoon. I heard Cali had their annual rainfall.....in 3 hrs a few days ago....
wink.gif

Now as for baseball, glad the Cards won, so I can unashamedly root for Boston!
