Not Seattle, but close.
My Cherokee had 96,900 on its 4.0 engine when I started the AutoRx treatment. It's had a steady diet of either Castrol GTX 10W30 or Chevron Supreme 10W30, changed every 3,000-3500 miles.
My question is twofold; and maybe part 2 belongs in the oil section, but here goes.

Technically, the engine had less than 100K, but it's close. Everything seems clean as far as I can tell. The oil with the Arx came out pretty black; the rinse oil has about 1700 miles on it now, and is almost the same color it was when it went in. Do I need another treatment, or should I just go ahead and put in the new oil and filter and call it good for now?

Part 2 is the choice of oil from now on. I've had no issues with the dino's, and I like the Chevron. But I was thinking of giving the HM version a shot, they claim higher detergency and leaky seal prevention. While my engine doesn't leak or consume oil, the 4.0 is known for leaking rear main seals, and I'd also like to keep it clean inside. Not sure I want to go to a full synthetic or an HDEO, but I'd like comments. It seems that M1 gives higher Iron numbers than dino in this engine, and more noise.
Thanks

Do both treatments of Auto-Rx stay with "Dino Oil"
amd you will have maximum performance and no leaks.
Use 3 ounce maitenance application with every oil change and your Jeep will not let you down.

I agree with Frank. When I first started looking a UOA and saw pictures of engines before and after auto-rx I felt there was no way an engine could get that dirty before 100,000 miles. I now believe they get dirty in as little as 25,000 miles. I believe Frank is right on this issue so an engine at 100,000 needs two treatments. I plan a treatment on my new car at 50,000.
