I don't want to, if it was cheap.

Maybe it's that good a deal because it's a slushbox.

Possibly.

The description is very promising but still leaves a few things to the imagination (e.g. oil consumption, how well it was broken in).

The choice of all-season tires is a bit puzzling. On these cars you want summers and a separate set of wheels with winter tires. All season tires end up being not enough of anything, unless you're driving like a ninny.... in which case the car might bite back in other ways (e.g. varnish, sludge) in the long run.

I read the article, and the e46 does sound like a car to buy.
I've been looking more out of curiosity than serious interest, and there are some really good deals out there.
For the price of a Fit, you could have a really entertaining ride, that should be fairly reliable and durable.
The non-ZHP seems plenty potent, too.

Yeah I think I have always suffered from the syndrome of wanting to own that "more rare" model/object, knowing full well that I will never take advantage of things like the 155 mph governer...but the extra hp and torque, albeit little more, might make me happier...that said, I agree with fdcg: the non ZHP is not a slouch, having driven one owned by a relative some time ago.

I am going to be patient and look for one, and not settle for the regular 330Ci..for now. - even the worst case, a non ZHP 330Ci is not bad at all

...autotrader actually had 3 330ci ZHPs with auto transmission (which I have to get) but they were all like 400 miles from me (and all of them under 50k miles and around $20k in price)...it's going to be a challenge to find this car in the neighborhood...but who knows? I'll just have to be vigilant and keep looking...one might pop up near me.

I can't be choosy with the color though...will have to go for whatever I get...low miles and ZHP and where I find the car, all trump the color...even if it's an imola red (which is my least favorite color, but also the most exclusive color for 330ci ZHP).

Ouch. Why?

You're right. Sorry, I missed that part.

...Or I blocked it from my memory because it's traumatic. One or the other.
