It is unbelieveable the BS about some products you find on the net these days...I have used Armorall since it's introduction and can tell you it never contained petro products or cracked anything!
Sure buddy, A personal friend an riding buddy of mine put armor all on his motorcycle turn signal stems which are(I should say were) made of some kind of flexible plastic so the signals could bend some and not be broken off in case of a crash or hitting something. He consistently did this after washing his motorcycle for 10 years and then one day he was washing his bike and the plastic on the turn signal stalks cracked, he checked the other one and it was partially cracked ready to let go, the once pliable plastic was now hard and inflexible, the bike is a Kawasaki VN700 1985 so just a warning not to use armor all on motorcycle plastic if you know whats good for you as motorcycle parts are VERY expensive and sometimes impossible to get for older bikes even at OEM shop.
I still think it has something to do with what type of 'plastic' your using the Armourall on. I have seen (within the last 5 years) Dash cracks from using armourall, and also in that same time seen no ill effects on other dashes. I use 303, a (IMHO) much better product, available at most all ACE hardware stores, or go to thier website and use the retailer locator

Had he treated one with ArmorAll and not treated one, then it might show something. Otherwise, it's just as likely aging of the plastic as it is anything to do with the ArmorAll.
Come on, these products aren't supposed to make things last forever. UV and oxidation cause materials to degrade. It's akin to using Oil of Olay and complaing that you eventually get wrinkles. But that's not all, Oil of Olay must have CAUSED the wrinkles.
I've used ArmorAll for over 20 years and never had any problems with surfaces on which I've used it.
And I hope folks using it on leather are using ArmorAll's Leather Care. Original ArmorAll is for vinyl, rubber, and plastic.

303 is also just super on rubber door, trunk, aand hood seals, black trim inserts, and black "chrome", too.
