I wanted to start using a tire shine that will not promote dry rot and something that had a little less glossy finish. Reading reviews 303 seemed to fit the bill so I ordered some off Amazon. I also liked that I could use it to treat the exterior/interior trim. Today I did the tires and exterior trim and so far I like it. I sprayed it into a tire sponge and rubbed it on. I went back over it (without adding much/if any to the sponge) to cover it all.

Closer view of the finish. In person it looks very consistent. The lighter area to the right is just a weird reflection.

I didn't take a close up of the trim afterwards but here is an overall side shot. I treated the black trim along the bumpers, doors, door handles and black trim on the mirrors. I had previously been using Black Renew for trim with good results. 303 was applied to the trim pieces using a foam brush followed by a microfiber.

303 looks great on the tires. I use it on my tires too. However, it does not last if it rains.

I prefer 303 for interiors, as others have said. I'll occasionally use it on the flat-black exterior grilles, too. It doesn't seem to last too long on tires. For tires I prefer the thicker tire-specific products.

BTW, nice E36.

My experience with 303 on tires has not been great. Does not seem to last very long especially if it rains. I do love it on my dash and other interior plastics.

I do have new Michelin primacy Mxv4 tires that seems to turn brown quickly. Perhps it is their "green X" tecnology?

Also I found that Blue Magic plastic and leather cleaner does a nice job of making the tires look dark for a few days.

And when it does not rain, it tends to attract a lot of dust, in my experience. 303 is good for interiors though.

I'd like to try 303 one of these days (for interior) as I been using Vinylex, but for the tires I been using a product called "No Touch". Instead of spraying & walking away, I spray it on a pad (usually a wax pad) and rub/work it around a tire. It gives a clean matte/satin finish instead of the wet plastic look, and has some lasting time. For years, it has never given me a reason to seek another tire product.

I should have added I follow up using a dry towel and re-wipe the tire(s) so there's no excess. Never noticed excessive build up that I can tell.

303 is great for interiors, but on tires it's a dust collector...Stoner's More Shine Less Time is much better for tires...it looks better, lasts longer, and doesn't attract dust like the 303 does...

Still nice and black satin finish. Does sling at bit. Means that I need to apply, let sit a while and wip excess.

As everyone already said it's great for interiors, but not so durable on exteriors. I like to use it to dress tires and fender wells on special occasions, but there are better products for day to day durability.

If you want a water based tire dressing that isn't glossy try Optiumum Opti-Bond or Poorboys Bold n Bright, you will not be dissappointed.

I've used this 303 for a few years now on many interiors, works great! I have even used it on exterior carbon fiber parts because of its UV blocking capabilities, so I'm told. Had anyone ever heard that?

Yes, it's UV-blocking properties are one of it's big selling points.
I'm always surprised when people say it doesn't work well outdoors; it's marketed for use on, and recommended by manufacturers of, stuff like awnings, boat seats, convertible tops etc. ?

ha, yeah I read that on the back of the bottle. There was a shop local here in Denver that was called Intrigue Detail, they detailed very high end cars. They used to have car shows and tech nights on products and such. They always promoted 303 as well as other companies and I learned of them there and was told that they use it on all exterior carbon fiber components. My boss also uses it on his boat interior and cover.

Just picked that up recently, planning on a wash this weekend, weather pending but I'll let you know
