Are you brand neutral?

Super Duty or nothing for "heavy" light duty 3/4 ton and up

Leaf spring full size Tundra V8 for 1/2 ton

Tacoma for toy trucks

No. I prefer Toyota for everything except full size pickups/SUVs, where I favor GM. Honda, Nissan or Ford would be OK if I can't have Toyota or GM. Surely my tastes will eventually change as the EV market evolves. I would never buy a Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Jaguar, Land Rover, Hyundai/Kia, Subaru, or any Dodge made after 1972.

I generally stick with GM stuff as it has given me the least trouble and I am familiar with all their stuff. I have had Honda, Toyota, VW, Mopar and Ford.
The VW soured me pretty good as I owned 80's turbo Dodges that broke down less.

I have specific preferences I look for with a truck or SUV. Those preferences are what's most important. Those preferences would be a modern interior that isn't overly technological. A mixture between tech and function. My Wranglers and now my Canyon fit this bill well. I enjoy quality cloth seats, a mechanical gear shifter(not column or rotary) and no CVT. I prefer a V6 and Port Injection but these aren't overly important.

With that said, everybody is brand biased in some way. I like the new Nissan Frontier for example but I'm not willing to drive a Nissan truck daily. I'm just not. It's a mental barrier. Maybe I would buy one if another truck didn't fit my preferences but a brand I like did.

In general, I will go into a car purchase with open eyes. But if a brand I'm already familiar with has something that fits my preferences, they're going to get my purchase fair or not.

I have not owned a bad brand yet including Jeep, VW , Subaru , Toyota , Acura Honda and VW.

That being said not interested in new ICE offerings and only interested in hybrid, PHEV or EV. Some if brand offers those neutral there.

GM and Chrysler - owned many over the years and all gave great service. Like a lot of their current offerings.
Ford - The only vehicle they offer that interests me is the Maverick.
Tesla - A big no as long as Elon Musk has any involvement with the company.
Toyota - Used to really not like them, but the latest offerings are starting to have some style and I'd actually consider buying one.
Honda/Acura - I've gone up and down on over the years. Some models I really like, other are 😴
Mazda - Another brand I didn't really like but lately has some nice offerings.
Nissan - Ditto Mazda. Had a rental Rogue (latest gen) that I enjoyed.
Subaru - Old lady car, no way. For old ladies and people afraid to drive in the snow.
VW/Audi - My favorite German brand, I like a lot of their vehicles.
BMW - Never really liked, but the current gen 3 and 5 series are nice, along with the X6.
Mercedes - Not really interested in but the GLC and GLE coupe SUVs are nice looking. Respect the S-Klasse for being class leading.
H/K - Like a lot of what they offer and would consider one.

If you price shop, brands become irrelevant. The only issue is how much that price takes into account long term ownership costs.
That is what I look at is build quality , reliability and the cost of ownership. The price and cost are two totally different things.

I am a subaru fanboy. But..I will criticize their screwups.

The fiasco with their headgasket issue was unforgivably evil. The fact that they ignored reality and did not specify the replacement of the water pump, tensioner, and idlers was ignorant. I paid personally for these two issues on my 2008. But I recognized the beauty of their AWD system and boxer engine. Its the only system that makes sense and no one will dare to match it. Their commitment to safety is not surpassed. Quite accomplishments for a small company. Every one of my 5 subarus (first in 1978) has been totally reliable.

Right now their biggest failure going forward is DI only. I fault the for it. But again the good outweighs the bad.

Toyota builds theirj own Boxer FA20. I am surprised they don't use it more. I suspect they don't want to cut into Subaru sales by coupling it with AWD. But this would make it more expensive and force them to design a new drive system.

I was a dealership tech for way too long not to be biased. I’ll always lean Ford or Toyota if either of those brands have a vehicle that makes sense for me.

Negative.
While the FA20D and FA24D boxer engines are/were in the Toyota 86, the entire car is manufactured by Subaru at their Gunma assembly plant in Japan along side the Subaru BRZ. Furthermore, neither car is AWD, they are both RWD. Additionally, both cars use Toyota's D-4S injection system which is both port and direct injection.

I'm semi brand loyal, but it's based on very specific platforms within that brand. I really like 80s to early 00s Ford trucks, especially the smaller ones. Due to that I may have a little more inclination to buy a Ford, but no real attachment to new ones. I wanted to be on board with the new Bronco but just don't care for it now between the problems and just looking goofy. Absolutely without a doubt if my 97 Explorer eats its timing chains tomorrow, the first thing I am shopping for is the nicest 91-01 Explorer I can find. I also already own one of the nicest still around, but don't want to wear it out so I have to have two.

I buy what I like. I do not care what brand it is.

The truck I have now, I was on my way to purchase a Ram. Had test driven, knew I wanted it, went home to bring wife along next day. That next day we drove past a Ford dealer and I saw a F150 that was screaming at me. Pulled into Ford, test drove it and went home with it that day.
My dad ended up buying a truck nearly identical to the Ram I was going to buy. I like some things about his better, and other things about mine better. But in the end, “No Ragrets” lol

Eh....maybe? I'll test drive anything TBH and so to that end yes, I'm open-minded when shopping. I'm a VW guy so we have 3 currently and have had a total of 5 between my wife and I lifetime. I've had several Fords, Hondas, and Toyotas.

Honda or Acura but I will drive a Toyota especially their line of trucks. No UAW made cars. Would drive German if it's made or imported into Southern States. Would like to see Renault and Peugeot return. If I had to get a domestic it would be a Ford as I find GM,Mopar to be pure utter 💩.
