Are there any Yokohama all season tires that are good in snow?

I'm happy with my Yokohama Tornante tires most of the time. I found them to be great in rain. I was caught in a severe thunderstorm on a rural two-lane road and they performed like a champ. But I give them a failing grade when it comes to light snow. So I'm somewhat loyal to the company, maybe the GTs have better winter traction?
And yes, the Tornante tires are also very noisy , but I don't have a long commute so that doesn't bother me.

I just have a Chevy Cruze LS. I plan on getting a different car in about five years, because I'm not going to pay for timing belt replacement a second time LOL.

I had awful luck with my Yokohama Avid S34's as far as winter performance; there was one instance I couldn't even make it up my snowy driveway. With that said, I'm not naive enough to presume this means that all Yokohama tires are poor in the snow, but I certainly would suggest staying away from that particular tire.

If you're willing to break away from your loyalty to Yokohama, I can strongly recommend the Vredestein Quadtrac line. I put on the Quadtrac 5's after my Yokohamas, and they've performed exceptionally well in wet and dry conditions. They also have the RMA "Mountain Snowflake" certification, meaning they meet higher snow performance requirements as opposed to your typical all-season. This would be what I would suggest if you're looking for a solid all-weather with great winter credentials.

With spring here now it's probably good timing to find snow/winter season tires cheap on sale to clear inventory space & look on craigslist for a cheap set of OE steel wheels. Even if they have some surface rust just scuff the paint up with a wire brush and throw on a fresh coat.

I always bought a Avid or GT everytime. On my fifth set. Getting free tire rotation, flat replacement and nitrogen. I usually get good life on these tires.
