I did pick up a few dozen UPF1233 Ultraguards while they were still in pipeline.

I believe the UPF52 is still available as well. Probably because it fits the LT1 motors used the the Corvette, Camaro, etc. and sells well enough.

Where can one score some of these filter's guy's??

Just called my GM dealer and yes the UPF52 is still available
by case of 6,now can anyone verify that the UPF52 is
the same as the PF52 dimension wise,,i do think it is,does anyone know??????????

going to score a case if they are..

Answering my own questions here, looks like according the WIX filter site that yes in deed the UPF52 and PF52 filters are the same.

soooo anywhere a pf47 or pf52 is spec'd a UPF52 can be used,and
i'd put it up against a EAo anyday for $4 less.

I just had a PF52 and a UPF52 in my hand comparing them side by side about 2 weeks ago. They are identical in size and shape. What price did the dealer give you? I bought them last time from gmpartsdirect.com using the gm part# 25322836

rockauto.com has them as well.

Not at the moment.

Champion used to make a filter for Delco called the "UltraGuard" which was about the same with a fully synthetic filter media, but sales never took off Delco only makes one number that fits Corvettes now, the UPF44:

Perhaps Delco will expand their line when thay see how popular the EAO filters are. There is really no competition for the EAO right now. Can you imagine a similar filter that can be had at any autoparts emporiums for a better price.

Yes that would be great, i wish Delco would expand their line
the UltraGuard is a very good top of the line filter like the
EAO is but $4+ cheaper,i plan on scoring a case here soon, all my
GM's take the same PF52 filter so it'll be easy for me.

This is 'not' what I was implying

Rather, they were in the same class. It might even be the same media but we'll never know...even if we did, they may change it the next day.

I always thought the Ultraguard was more in line with a Mobil 1 or PureOne in terms of filtration. The EaO is exceptional at filtration, and I thought it was really in a class by itself (filtration wise) as far as auto lube filters.

Nope better then M1 or P1,,same as the EAO check the link.

I went to the link and saw pictures showing the differences between the Duraguard and Ultraguard. But that can hardly be used as a clear indicator of it's filtering ability. Is there something else I missed?

The UG has been proven to be an outstanding filter,i remember
reading up on it many times,GOOGLE is your freind.

Does anyone know how k&n oil filters compare to EAO?

I remember reading somewhere that the k&n was better than wix which I was researching at the time but it was around twice as as much to buy so I chose wix.

Have there been any INDEPENDENT studies and tests to confirm your statements? All of these MLM companies like to do big bold claims. It doesn't mean it's true. Most of the time quite otherwise, there is nothing behind these bold claims. You know what they say - "Don't belive the hype". There is alot of controversy with this company, thus my suspicion.

Can you show us any independent tests on any others? Now Grease is the Word and Shultz did a bang up independent filter test a few years back ..but the EaO wasn't out yet.

George of CLS has done some testing. He's an XOM distributor. Does that make you feel better?

To be honest, your objections to the MLM system that Amsoil uses make me believe that you'll object to much data presented to you ..and that regardless of that outcome/result, you would not purchase one anyway. So, truthfully, is there any real point in proving it to you?

Now if you're looking for an argument ..I'll give it a try ..but abuse is two doors back on the right
