I was at autozone, and bought a one man brake bleeding kit, hose with small container. I jstu learend how to replace my own brake pads(easy) and now want to learn how to bleed my own brakes, with a chilton and haynes book. I know traditionaly, your supposed ot have 2 guys do this. But a guy at Advanced auto told me, sometmies the one man brake bleeding kits are not all that great. Should i have any worries doing this? I dont have an 'assistnat' or 2nd person to help me.

I depends upon two things: the quality of the kit, and, the man!
The tubing must fit very tight, and you must take great care to have the drain submerged and the reservoir filled. Otherwise, besides being a bit more of a pain, it is do-able.

Ive always been VERY careful when learning and wroking on my car. Just was curious, as the guy at counter at advanced auto, 'cautioned' me against using it. BUt imam give it a try

It depends on the 'kit' purchased. Some should be avoided and are worthless pieces of hoses.
Speedbleeder, check valve equipped brake bleeders, are excellent but can be expensive to equip every vehicle in the driveway with. Speedbleeders are great if you plan on yearly bleeds and plan to keep a car forever. Otherwise, invest in a pressure bleeder, like Motive. It'll pay for itself once you convince a few neighbors that their brake fluid looks like garbage.

I've never had luck with those one man kits - the container fills up too quickly and I just don't get the sense that they're keeping air bubbles out of the system. I prefer a simple rubber hose pointed into a 1/2 empty quart size bottle of brake fluid. simple & effective. plus you can just go ahead and flush the system by simply continuing to pump a little longer at each wheel - no worries of overflow (obviously you'd have to dump a little out between wheels).
I have the one from Advance-Auto. The small bottle is a bit annoying. But it seems to work ok.
I just did the brakes on my SpecV with it. The pedal feels fine. I'd rather use the 2 person method, but I didn't have anyone available at the time. Maybe I'll go back thru it again with a helper sometime just to see.
