I see wear metals at higher levels when OCIs are high (e.g. 10K) in the UAO section. Do these elevated levels cause any harm?

eventually yes 100 ppm has or was a max limit.
but that is why a OCI of a "correct" time frame is needed because the oil maybe in good shape but it "holds" a lot of gunk and that is what will plate out as sludge and cause bearing wear, so change offten and do not worry about 10-15K drians.
