Aptera - self feeds up to 40 miles/day

With the solar panels adding charge back all day.
That's something different. If you go through all the FAQs on their website they offer 4 battery sizes. The largest battery is claimed to go up to 1000 miles of range on one full charge, and that's without any solar input from hoe I read it.

I've seen this thing or another device that shape like this from another company on the internet, since like early 2000.

Basically, I'll summarize this device in a few points here:

1) It is 3 wheels to be qualified as a motorcycle legally, so it can meet the crash safety standard of a motorcycle.
2) It is only 40 miles on a sunny day in the desert in Arizona
3) Small company goes out of business easily, for a sexy sports car I can understand taking a chance on it, but not for this thing
4) It is expensive to make small batches of the composite shell but this "vehicle" is really just an electric bike with a battery, for those 250-mile ranges to the 1000-mile range for that much cost, is not really buying you the bang for the buck unless you really want some exotic material rather than cost per electric miles. Your money is going not into saving you energy cost but rather the custom body, if you want cost per electric mile range, maybe a Chevy Bolt is a better deal or any other real EV.

Some people really think that each time energy costs double, I should cut my vehicle size in half. Nonsense. I'm a working man and need to transport not just myself, but heavy cargo and more than one person (flight crew). Tomorrow, I'll be moving a 400HZ power cart and 5 Ton (BTU capacity, not weight) aircraft air conditioner from FL to NY. There is no place in my world for such unsafe silliness.

In fact, there is a valid reason people purchase trucks and SUV's by the millions. Not the least of which is that cars have been legislated via CAFE rules, to be efficient and small, and therefore impractical.

What you are buying and using is a commercial vehicle that many prosumers buy. Would you judge a Yaris as "not a real vehicle" because it does not haul a 5 ton AC around? You probably wouldn't, nor would 80-90% of the population on earth.

People around the world usually don't drive around commercial equipment as grocery getters. I know there are special scenarios (like my corrupted major uncle back in PLA in the 80s were asking his privates to drive his family around like personal butlers in some military vehicles) and there are people who just buy it because they are prosumer like they buy DSLR cameras, but that doesn't means everything should be judge as such.
