Anything available to smooth out a bumper scrape?

Long story short I backed out of a very steep driveway and when turning I scraped the underneath of my front bumper a bit. A bit frustrating since it's a new car. A good thing is the bottom bumper piece of this car is a black plastic that is there to basically take scratches instead of the actual painted bumper.

You can see what I am talking about from this picture:

Anything you'd recommend to smooth the scuff out a little? Or would you just leave it as is?

Sometimes on plastics you can take a heat gun and work the heat back and forth on the damaged area,the heat makes the plastic somewhat pliable and it will actually let it flow and blend back in,worth a try.

Can you even see it from standing up? I'd just leave it. I see you have a Camaro. I managed to scrape the nose on my 99 Z28 back in the day. I was so mad. The nice part was you couldn't see it from standing up though. Do you have that on your Camaro?

Don't look at it or think about it. Take it as the hard knocks in life for a typical car.

I feel your pain really,nothing sucks more than your new car getting scratched.
I would leave it alone and forget it,sometimes messing with it can just make matters worse when it comes to plastics.

Thanks for the info guys. Had an 02 z28, just sold it. Great shape, but yea the front bumper was all scuffed up from just not having the clearance for certain driveways and parking lots.

They make urethane bumper repair. SIM and 3M make it. However it's a real PIA to work with. That was years ago when I did auto body repair. They may have improved the products by now. It's just like bondo for urethane bumpers.

It would probably be a waste of time if it's way down low and underneath the car. I would leave it alone and ignore it. It probably won't be the last time it gets scraped.
