My cousins Acura has the wrong coolant type in it. Doing complete flush with 2-3 runs of distilled water after existing coolant drained to remove any corrosion deposits. Should I use this as part of the flush or should I add it to the proper spec coolant mix afterward? Thanks.

The Super Cleaner has the following ingredients:

Sodium Nitrate
Ethylenediaminetetraacetic Acid, Tetrasodium salt
Sodium Hydroxide

each at around 2-3% concentration.
pH is 11.2

It's strange that I can't find any directions on how to use it. I imagine it's meant to by run temporarily - similar to citric acid cleaners - then dumped before filling with fresh coolant.

I would only use it if you believe there are any deposits or corrosion inside the cooling system.

What was the wrong coolant and which model / year Acura?

It is some unknown possibly universal green kind. It's a 2002 TL. Going to replace with the recommended Asian blue (Possibly PEAK)

Years ago I used a cleaner. Cleaned so well I ended up with a water pump leak
Well turns out that the WP is being replaced with the timing belt anyway, so if anything, I'll do the flush first and ruin the old water pump to be safe...lol!
