For the longest time I was curious as to how well this stuff worked since their was a time where I used everything from AMSOIL. Well I finally purchased a bottle. At first I couldn't figure out whether it was a polish ONLY or whether it was sort of a polish/wax. So I called amsoil and he told me it was a polish only....didn't look or feel like it to me. It smelled very....strong. Lots of waxes tend to smell like cocoa butter. AMSOIL smelled like turpentine. So finally one day me and a friend got around to washing my car. We then claybared it properly. We then applied the AMSOIL with a buffer. When we were done applying, letting dry and wiping we took a look at the car. It didn't seem like anything special. But we continued to use meguiars wax over it. When all was said and done the car looked nice. But AMSOIL didn't work wonders like I hoped it would hehe.

do you mean their wax/polish? i love that stuff. i only apply it by hand and it wipes of really easy after it drys. a buddy of mine use it on his grand-am, after an entire summer, water was still beading up on. iuse it on my wife's tacoma and am very impressed by it.

I try not to use any kind of wax or polish.

I just remembered why I didn't like it very much. Other than the fact it was pricey and smelled like turpentine after I used it to polish my car it didn't do a very good job of hiding any swirl marks or tiny imperfections. I know this isn't its job but Meguiars left a nice coat and got rid of some of the marks. The AMSOIL just wasn't anything special. I'm just wondering what experience other people have had. I'm gonna try it out again this summer/spring and see how it goes.
