The Baja boss gets reviews that are surprisingly excellent not only for off-road but also onroad manners to even include wet road and quietness. Here’s the pro tip:my Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT's are super quiet and comfortable. I run them in both 35x10-17 (255/85-17) and in 37x12.5-17. both equally quiet the 37's might be a tad smoother but not enough to really notice or even care about. they do great in all kinds of conditions..

If the tire is not round, they don’t discard it. Instead, they spin it and shave the high points. Theres a forum with a buyer observing the shaving marks during installation, and refusing the tires. The store tried to go through a a bunch others to find ones which were clean. They couldn’t. He called tire rack and had a talk with them. Tire rack said that sure, some mfrs use this as standard process, but they refuse to accept corrected tires like this from vendors as they won’t sell them. Assuming this is all correct, someone interested in these might choose a higher end reseller to avoid QC disappointments.
I’ve been reading far too many tire reviews. The Baja boss, if you get a good set, may be a very surprise “premium” AT.
