Unfortunately the fender with the Cummins, has the turbocharger and ducting nearby, along with the second battery. Thanks anyway.... there is room, I'd just have to modify the heck outta some steel plate to make a bracket to secure it.
I've got a 2005 Dodge Ram w/ CTD. Anyone have similar with Motorguard in engine compartment and where/how exactly did you mount the unit?
Any and all comments welcome...
I used some pre-existing holes at the base of the front passenger inner fender on my 2000 Ram w/5.2. Not sure if your engine compartment would be very similar, though. I inserted an additional 4" spacer bracket to bring it up high enough for easy access and to ensure drainback when opened.
Now that I think of it, I recall actually relocating one of the horns to open up one of those holes. Bolted the horn up to another hole higher on the inner fender just above it's original location at the base.
I have a Frantz on my 2004 Dodge Ram and was able to mount the filter right in front of the radiator to the cross member and worked the hoses back between the two radiators to the Pema-cool adapter. Looks great with hood closed.
Hi trik396: I have the same truck and put 3 MGs for engine oil, tranny oil and a coolant filter. They are mounteed on a piece of aluminum angle bolted to the exhaust manifold. All seems to work well. I don't kow how to attach pictures for you but I will email them if you need. Harry
