Wife spotted one. Asked me. I was blank looking.
Maybe the first ones have a few issues??

Any input as to range, etc?

Will 240V charge at home. Always.

We really need an EV for our local driving, $5 gas in WA stopped making sense.

It's now called just the Bz, I thought. It was refreshed for 2026. The old one was slow charging, but the new one is supposed to be better. If you're only ever charging L2/240V, DCFC speed doesn't really matter. It offers a 74KWH battery pack now, good for up to 314 miles range, so I'd say you can ignore the comments from the Tesla fanbois about range. Sounds like a hot rod now too, the AWD model offers 100 more HP.

Very helpful

I didn’t know about the earlier model only looked at 2026 website

I'm honestly not sure why anyone would pick this thing over the Prologue, Equinox EV, Blazer EV, Model Y, EV6, Ioniq 5, or Mustang Mach-E... or maybe you can get an insane deal on a leftover 2024 Acura ZDX...

Just as an FYI, a local used car dealership had 2 on their lot for months, both were 2023 models. The sole remaining one has less than 10k miles on it and they're asking $33000 CDN.

The 2026 model is now only called the bZ. It has many design changes that make it more competitive. I'm waiting for the woodland version to come out which is a station wagon.

Happy wife happy life?

I'm sure it's a fine vehicle with the improvements made with this refresh. If he's only ever going to be charging L2, what difference do the charging speeds make? I'm not going to try to talk anyone out of getting an EV. People have there own reasons for getting the vehicles that they do. I do like the styling improvements made on the Bz.

I will say that this doesn't really compete with the Prologue or Blazer, they're larger vehicles. And some others you mentioned could use a styling refresh.

We own a Mach-E but the Bz is probably a ltitle better at being an SUV.

Make sure to cross shop the 2026 Rav4 Plug in Hybrid. Love my 2024 Rav4 Prime XSE and I hated Rav4s in the past. 0-60 in the 5's and MPGs in the 100s. Now my wife will be getting it when I get a 2025 Nissan Armada

2026 with updates should be a totally fine choice. It has better range and DCFC speeds than my Blazer EV.

I drive my Blazer EV 350 miles roundtrip to work (3x a month). 175 miles each way almost all at 75 MPH.

In the real world, that comes out to a 12 minute DCFC charge each way to/from work during my bathroom breaks. It’s literally the same time it takes me to walk into the store, use the bathroom, buy a drink/snack and walk back to the car. It’s actually the exact same driving routine I did with my gas car.

In my opinion, as long as you have home charging and can start with 100%, any of these marginal range / marginal charging EVs (Model Y, Equinox EV, Mach-e, Prologue, etc.) are a total non-issue up to around 400 miles total trip length.

Past 400 miles is around where you start to add any significant time to a trip.

Challenge of EV especially local driving where miles/fuel consumption is low is the intense depreciation of EV no matter brand far exceeds the fuel savings

Used they make sense however noticed 2026 in your post.

Intense? Define vs any car depreciation

Used might make sense but usually no deals in granola land.

It was featured as Lois Lane's vehicle in the new Superman movie. Not sure why Delaware plates. Metropolis has always been in an unnamed state. OK - looked it up and it was nod to one creator of Superman being from Delaware. Even where there's a Delaware flag on a building.

I see one of the older ones with the bz4x name in my neighborhood. Also a Subaru Solterra.
