Anyone know what this red sealant is?

Changing the air valve in my air tank . Has this orange dry sealant . I have seen it before .

Anyone knows what it is ?

Looks like a factory applied thread sealant? Some Teflon #567 or similar pipe dope is good to reinstall it.

I don't why this would used there, but it looks exactly like very high temp Permatex RTV. More likely a thread sealant as was stated.

On the new one use some teflon tape.

Brush-applied liquid thread sealant is my vote

i think this may be it . kinda expensive though . probably stick with teflon tape . LOL

Yep...it is pre-applied Dri-Loc thread locker compound.
