Girlfriend's folks curb picked these a while ago and dropped them off for us to sell in our garage sale. I tried looking them up, but didn't have a ton of luck other than a few eBay sales. They're Stanley Super Vac thermos' with the matching lunchbox and bag, including the original corks. They don't appear to ever have been used, and they're dated 5-50 on the bottom which I believe means May of 1950!

If any of my fellow members could give me a history lesson, or possibly know what a rough value would be I'd greatly appreciate it!

1) Load each with boiling water. If the old foam insulation has turned to powder, the thermos bottles will be too hot to touch.
I had this happen with a premium stainless steel thermos well before its 73rd birthday.
2) Is that box metal? It appears to have a key lock.
3) Always try looking up a similar product to approximate the value.
4) ...then decide how much you want to sell it for.
5) Is the vinyl case old and cracked? Does the zipper run fully?

I'm wondering if it was designed for use in aircraft.
