Anyone know a GOOD steering rack rebuilder?

Trying to get a new or rebuilt rack for our E90 M3 by early June. Tried to get a brand new one back in March but they're out of stock everywhere and ETAs keep getting pushed back (now late June). Rack Doctor's e-store seems to be down and recent reviews suggest they've gone downhill. Some vendors (e.g. FCP Euro, ECS, Bimmerworld) list remans, but they're all either out of stock or >$3k.

Anyone have any leads?

Might try contacting someone not sitting at a desk at bimmerworld or Turner, see if they have any insight.

I assume this is something you can't buy a kit for and rebuild yourself? If not, the $3k one might be the way to go if its in stock.

I'd stay clear of Rackdoctor. I ordered one last summer for a Sienna and waited about 2 months before I cancelled my order. Took another 3 weeks or so of calls/emails saying that I'd get my refund "today". Finally had to do a PayPal dispute and got my $$ back. After the fact, I did some research and found many others had the same issues with RD that I had.
Ordered a new rack from RockAuto and had it *the next day* (with normal shipping).
