I picked up a lego hobby about 2 months ago. I've got about 5 or 6 sets so far and just recently acquired a shelf for my sets.

Anyone else addicted to lego?

I commend you for sharing this. I do not have a lego fetish, but to each their own. Whatever keeps you going, as long as its not bad stuff, I say go for it.

I would request a lego dragon at some point.

Been thinking of getting one of those Lego wall art setups.
A HS friend and his wife had completed a few that they purchased at Costco.
Seems like a nice hobby to enjoy during the winter months.

It's a great way to pass the time. I've never seen the wall art legos.

Imho, there is nothing wrong with enjoying whatever you like to do while being 'productive', whatever helps develop logical thinking and 'working with hands' and results is something you and potentially others can see as an accomplishment/result/progress or even pride. Fairly often you may 'accomplish' something that makes you happy and proud of yourself but others don't understand or/and appreciate; just realize those may lack 'insight' and let them be.
I do/enjoy things many others don't understand, so what? Just got home from Dubai... There was a guy on the bus I took from SEA to BLI who was overly proud and very vocal to just come off a 9 hrs flight; I kept my mouth shut about my 14 hrs non-stop flight and 5 hrs routine before my flight.
I have a double-deck auto-reverse (higher end) cassette boom box to yet refurbish which I got for about US$9 a couple years back - I see hours of work and a few parts replaced coming; so???? Who will ever want to buy this to compensate all the expenses and love? Would I even want to sell it after all the work and coming to realize what the unit is worth?
I like vinyl, I like cassette tape recording, I like competitive handgun shooting and making guns perform better by 'smithing' or 'armoring', I like fishing, I like fish keeping, I like a few other things... LOL

Funny you should bring this up.
I was trying to find something today in the paperwork next to my PC and found this list of Legos I have. I made it to take to a collector/hobby shop venue to see what I could get for them. I was told a ridiculous price, so I said thanks and walked out. The number are the set numbers. The Conveyor Station was the first one I received...mid 70s...for Xmas.

Yeah they've gotten expensive. There's a couple sets I want that I'll never buy because they're half a grand or more.

The Lego shop in a nearby mall comes nowhere near even suggesting there are that many different kits.

Are these all ordered off a store catalog for later delivery? I can see a shop not wanting to have a storeroom full of "half a grand" boxes.

A Titanic...river boats and tall ships? I had NO CLUE they had all this and more.
Frankly, shame on their stores for not making it clear.
I look at the Lego store every time I go to said mall and got no inkling the product line had such depth.

Or, visit the store in Disney Springs - or at legoland - any one of their flagship locations - and they will have a line out the door, with many of the larger models (Eiffel Tower, for example) on display.

I had Lego's as a kid, then with my kids and now we play with the little guys next door occasionally. They love to come over and get the Lego out. It's just random pieces so it is fun to see what they make. The mind is amazing at 3 & 5 when it is not clouded by other things.

My wife teased me that my FFR Cobra is the grown up version of lego. It has an instruction book to build it... :ROFLMAO:
