Some folks choose to step away from the forum for a bit.
Some are shown the door because of their inability to behave. I don’t like commenting on either group out of respect for their privacy.
If you’re concerned, I would send a PM. Most members have email notification of PM (called conversations on Xenforo).
EDIT: There are some folks who are hit with a sudden illness, or worse, and they stop participating. We have no way of knowing which.

I have PM'd him, earlier. No response. I trust/pray that he is OK.
Me, too. We have lost a few members along the way. Again, not wanting to comment, but here is an example:
It’s my personal opinion that threads like that should be started by his BITOG friends, not the staff.
For the record, BOF is missed by many of us.
Your response was better and better versed than vavavroom reply. I noted that the “memo” vavavroom said was “in this section was deleted.
