Anyone have experience with the Snap On EECR2 code reader and the icons?

Hi All,

After a couple of days with my new oem fuel injectors installed my Cavalier ran smooth. Last night the cel came on. On my way home from work this morning it started running rough again, so I stopped at Advance Auto Parts and picked up a bottle of VP Racing "Maddative" 7-n-1 fuel system cleaner and it does have pea but how much I'm not sure. The cel went out but my Snap On Blue Point EECR2 scanner is yellow status with the ev icon (evaporative) OH icon, O icon and C icon blinking. Does anyone know what they mean? I've had an intermittent cel that was evaporative related but it would come and go.

These are the common Inspection Monitors on gasoline engines.

Quite odd how this scan tool abbreviates the monitors.

But I am going to take a guess:
-C is Catalyst
-O is Oxygen Sensor
-OH is Heated Oxygen Sensor
-E or EV, one of them is Evaporative System

To confirm - I would check the manual book.

It's odd as it sounds occasionally like a slightly popping sound. On my way home it felt like someone attached a boat anchor behind my car. After filling with premium fuel and the vp racing injector cleaner the cel went out. It does seem like it’s a tad down on power which is weird as the fuel injectors are oem and brand new. I had a tiny Crack in one injector before and got tired of smelling gas when I turned my vents on. Do you think there's an issue with my new injectors, or due to them being new other parts are now showing issues? It did have a slight twitch at idle but nothing crazy. Maybe bad gas?

I found the manual online but not through Snap On or the Blue Point label. Oddly enough innova is the manufacturer and is through them.

You are losing power you said? Can you post up the LTFT and STFT at idle and at 3000 rpms?

This is the 2.2L engine?

Yes 2.2.

Not sure. Seems like after a couple of days the power loss went away. It's had a hard 153k miles. My sister bought it from some random person in a parking lot then my dad drove it then a few years back I got it. If you read my earlier posts it was a bear to get it past emissions testing.
