And that's fine. My point really is that all the kid garbage, excessively sized car seats, etc. take up a LOT of space, but for the average 2.3 kids (which means more like 2), you might get two car seats in there...

So then the question is cargo room for the "average" family.

Which is 10 cu ft extra. Not a lot. Of course everyone has to look at it for their own situation... But then again, as mentioned, a suburban is hard to beat.

suburbans and blazers and tahoes never really did it for me, they always seemed so big and bloated, and the 2nd row never seemed all that roomy.

true. I actually enjoyed a '00 Mazda MPV; it was the 1st one to have roll down windows in the sliding doors, and a 3rd row that folded flat into the floor.
it dorve better than the ford windstar too.
but the 1st year they only put the 2.5 in it and it was severely underpowered. then they got smart and put the 3.0 in it.

2010 ecoboost spec was 5W-20 as it was used only in the Flex, Taurus, and corresponding Lincoln models (MK A-Z???). 2011 changed that to 5W-30 across the board mainly because of the F150. The motors used in the 2011 cars are identical to the ones used in the 2010's. The F150 has different turbochargers but is for all intents and purposes identical to the car motors.

probably takes less time that replacing the entire cooling system in a BMW, the interval is about the same...

Seriously though, it's a hassle--but I'd rather do 4 plug changes than 1 PCV service in a V70, which is a nice, simple inline 5. It also doesn't take much longer than a CRV valve adjustment, or a timing belt replacement on any car that has one...

point being, most cars have their maintenance 'gotchas', like the rear plugs in the Duratec V6. Besides that, the 3.0 in my Freestyle is pretty easy to do basic stuff, and most not-so-basic stuff. The plugs are every 100K, so the truth is that it doesn't bother me that much. I don't think the 3.0 is much different than the 3.5 in that regard.
