Anyone growing grapes in Zone 5?

I broke up a bail of straw to cover the plants, then put the irrigation line back on top to help keep it down and placed chicken wire over top. Hopefully it won’t blow away.
A foot of snow fell. Even if it partially melts I hope it locks the straw in place. Notice deer tracks on both sides of the line of grape plants.
