Seen guys at the range (while arguing for standard, as issued sights on sporting rifles) use all sorts of stuff, like those you quote, these... http://www.meritcorporation.com/products.html , and odd shaped and positioned pieces of masking and duct tape on their glasses to cut out certain glare and stuff from their field of view.

The first one works but at the cost of having to be precisely positioned and requiring lots of ambient light. If all your shooting is slow fire on bright sunny days at the range I'd give it a try.

I'm rather dubious about the second device. If you really could get that kind of performance increase out of optics with 2 lenses strapped on the back, why aren't the scope manufacturers already doing this?
