Anyone ever use silicone spray for tire dressing?

I used some on my 97 Escort today, and WOW! what a diference! i got a nice deep dark black finish from my tires!

Consideirng the spray is usually used on my door gaskets and CV boots, I guess I have found another great use for the stuff! and it substantially cheaper than tire dressings and other rubber "conditioners"

I use Stoner's More Shine Less Time. It contains silicone and does a great job on tires, engine, wheel wells, etc.

IMO that type of silicone is no good for the rubber and vinyl.
It magnifies the suns rays and will cause the rubber and vinyl to break down and dry out along with the silicone chemical itself.

do you have any proof of this? I find this hard to believe how many other conditioners also contain silicone....

I use the Armour all Extreme shine tire gel.

This stuff is great and lasts a long time.

Most of the tire formulas actually have UV protectants that keep tires looking new. It's actually good for the tire and prevents dry rot, plus it looks snazzy. I like using tire wet. I use meguiars hot shine.
