Hate the new Google image search function? I hate how it brings up a stupid little thing in the middle. Give me the simple bar on the top of the screen where I can open the full image. Dumb to change it when everyone was used to it, and it worked just fine! Google doesn't do many dumb things, but this is one of them.

i hate it too, just tried to find a pic about an hour ago.
Works great if your internet is fast.
Eh, the service is free and seems to still work well. I personally don't care for the AJAX interface but I still seem to get good results and I can't argue with the price.
What I REALLY hate is when people don't put something in the thread subject that lets you know what their thread is about.

I like how it lists the pictures, but not how they are accessed. The popup is annoying and it is harder to just get to the image. It seems to pander to the website owners instead of Google's user base.

Eh, they're just being efficient & innovative at serving ads. Does thoroughly enjoying the features of Gmail make me a sheep? Perhaps. Less so than somebody who pays to buy a shirt with a logo on it for their favorite band, automobile, oil brand or even oil discussion board.
I don't like it either and everyone I have talked to in casual conversation has said the same.

I prefer the good old simple search too, at least they should provide a way to use the older version.
