Quick video of my F350 undercoated with NH Oil Undercoating.
You'll be glad you did, stops rust from growing. I put it on pretty thick so for the whole truck I used 1.5 gallons. I would guess you might be able to away with 1/2-3/4 gallon on the chassis alone. I used 120 psi to spray.I have 2 boxes of stuff from them that just came in. Plan on spraying my truck in the next couple of weeks.
How much did you need for the chassis only? I got 1 gallon of black for the chassis and 1 gallon of clear for the cab/bed if I do it (aluminum bodied truck). I called to ask them and they said a gallon should be enough for a F350. If I sprayed body cavities they said a gallon and a 1/4 to a gallon and a half. Also got their salt brine remover with the foam gun. I got their DIY kit with the sprayer and wand extension.
What air pressure did you spray yours at?

Tried to do so when I was up in NE recently, but shops were booked solid.
Will probably order some to diy...
That’s your best bet. A DIY kit with a gallon of the black undercoating, a spray gun and 18” wand is 140$. I also bought a gallon of the salt brine remover, the foam gun for it, a gallon of the clear undercoating and some body suits. Total cost was 295$ with free shipping. A small price to pay to protect your investment
Which "spray tanks" are you referring to? I'm suffering from a brain freeze this morning. Thanks!Ive been spraying cars with salt away and a fertilizer sprayer for years.
I have the wands, and a spray tank, which is IMO much better and more convenient than a gun with a tank attached to it.
Wish the spray tanks were more available/cost effective...
Do you typically have rodent problems?A local mechanic near me does NH Coatings spraying at his house as a side business. He sprays black on chassis and more of a clear color on other areas. They mixed in peppermint this year to repel mice.
In the spring I go to a different shop to have CarWell sprayed.

It’s the nozzle IMO. I don’t really know how the air gets consumed, maybe it blends or creates a Venturi in the part that connects to the tank.... but the end of the wands has a very specific compression that causes it to mist. The Corrosionx site claims their system creates a fog. I wonder if their tank design somehow creates this or is it simply in the gun/nozzle?
