I came across this a few years ago and started doing it myself. Maybe a slight bump in fuel economy (negligible), and it does quite my motor down quite a bit.

I stick between 256:1 and 128:1. I use between ½ oz. and 1 oz. for every gallon of diesel. I usually stick with the 256:1 and the injector pump in my 12V is lubricated by oil as well as fuel, unlike the 24V with the VP44 which is only lubricated by fuel.

Haven't had any issues arise from it...just curious as to who else is doing it. Thanks!

I do it the majority of the time at 128:1. TCW oil from Walmart. My Cummins has the VP44.

With the cold spell and snow, my Cummins is now collecting snow since its a 2WD it cannot get out of it own way in the snow.

Haha no sir. Been running it the whole time. And it's really probably along the lines of 600-650 now I would think. Just a Super B (57/65/14) over an S475. Trying to make it a really nice daily driver that still has pretty good power.

Agreed. I can completely understand that. The only reason I do it is because it seems to quiet down the ol' 12V...and it gives me that warm and fuzzy feeling inside. So why not!

I tried it for about 6 months on my Genesis Coupe. I did a 500:1 ratio if I remember correctly. After 6 months, I noticed some deposits forming on top of my pistons that weren't there before and I quit using it. I didn't really notice any difference in fuel economy either.

Their TCW-3 Watercraft Injection Oil?? (If so, same here, but it IS pricey, even when bought by the gallon.
