Anyone else notice FireFox is getting more buggy?

I've noticed that FF is more stable on Linux than Windows.......... But I really don't have any issues on my own system with it in Windows. I also use no plug-ins though.....

FF locks up my whole system in Yahoo mail on a regular basis. But at least it comes out of it after a couple of minutes. With Task Manager running, it shows a few hundred megabytes of memory being temporarily shifted to the swap file.

Yahoo mail is bloated and causes this with all my browsers.
Even switching to yahoo 'classic' only helps a little. Way too much garbage loading while accessing mail, like IM, all the advertising.....

I have no issue with my FF. Maybe you should check and update any plug-ins...java/flash....

I'll check things out plug-in wise.

So far with FF, I have the following plug-ins.

1. Ad Block Plus

2. No-Script

3. Flash block

4. Linkification

In my humble opinion, these four add ons are absolutely critical to me. The no-script stops that bad habit Google has of wanting to run that analytics big brother [censored] to every site I go to. Flash block is quite handy. I only view the Flash I want to see. Linkification also rocks.

I have NoScript here, and it blocks Flash. It's even a legacy version, I am runninng IceWeasel on Debian Lenny, and it's still on version 3.0.6.

From what I've heard, so has everything else.

Pennzoil contains wax and will sludge up your engine too...

I have FF running on a Vista machine with no troubles. On my XP machine I get FF hanging once in a while when closing it. I have to go into Task Manager and kill it. It shows it is only using a few MB of RAM so it kind of closes, but can't complete. Could be a bad plugin or something too.

My buddy just started having problems with his. It pops up a window that says it is already running. I checked task manager and it is not showing as running. Tried a reinstall and no fix. Tried a uninstall and reinstall. No fix.

Very odd.

After using FF for years, I made the switch to Google Chrome after experiencing all of the issues that began to manifest somewhere around version 3.10 and haven't looked back. There was a slight learning curve associated with using Chrome, and I felt out of my comfort zone, but this only lasted for a few days.

I use Ad Muncher to stop pop-ups and advertisements. Ad Muncher costs about $23 USD and in my opinion it blows away AdBlock Plus. Google Chrome and Ad Muncher (Beta version 4.73) run flawlessly on my desktop computer using the RTM build of Windows7 Professional.

Making the switch to Chrome was easy once I realized that I didn't need all of the add-ons that I used with FF. Chrome strives to be what FF once was, a lean, fast, secure, standards compliant web browswer.

Firefox used to work great but now it keeps freezing up a few times a day and i cant find the cause. It's driving menuts!!! The constant updates are all so annoying

lol no what I meant was I would preffer a browser that didnt freeze all the time.
