Anyone cut their own hair?

Just trim over the ears and get the fuzz off the neck in between cuts to keep "fresh". When doing the back of my neck, I sit on the sink with my back to the mirror and then have a handed held one to see what I'm doing. Takes a little coordination.

I remember going to visit my brother in-law during COVID this was his self inflicted haircut 💈 😂. My wife and I still crack up thinking about it

My younger sister cuts mine and works at Great Clips which I've mentioned before. Sometimes we trade work like in this old post when I replaced her garage door opener. I have a full head of hair and let her do whatever. She wanted me to grow my hair out and gave me a pixie cut and my middle brother told me "you look like you're in a boy band".

I’ve found a few places that have $10-12 haircuts. And the price has gone up since one of these places used to be $5. They’re licensed and professional. Not sure how they do it, but I have no complaints. I just leave a reasonable tip.

Interesting how many have their wife/significant other do the back. Could get quite ugly if y'all are on the outs. Thats the epitome of a trusting relationship 😁.
Even when my ex wife and I split up she still cut my hair for a year or two 😃

I did my own from covid until recently. Shorter on the sides than the top, controlled by the angle of the cutter and the comb size. My son did the edging. Wish I could do it myself. More recently, I went back to the shop and have to admit, they do a much nicer job than I can.

Never tried cutting my own hair, but I did have wifey cut me and both then young sons for a number of years.
She did a pretty decent job but I did go back to a pro, which now costs all of fifteen plus tip every six weeks.
Worth it to me.

pretty hard to cut your hair, only the front and sides a bit ok,,other wise stock up on hats. Try considering a barber/beauty type school if in your area, you get (usally) good haircuts noticeably for less money, plus helping some youngster learn a trade.

i run my hair short and its easy to do. i used to go to a viet lady . She would always double or triple book and i had to wait even with appt. got tired of it .

Then one day i just tried cutting my hair . First couple of time it was not too good, but i am lucky in that my hair grows quickly . Anything ugly will grow back in 2 weeks .

This was over 15 years ago .

I take the 'ole cue ball right down to the wood every 4 days with a Shick Triple and Edge Shave Gel🧑‍🦲
