Anyone bought or shopped for a MB Sprinter?

Before I retired I started researching camper vans and what most are saying here about the MB is what I also found. The maintenance is very costly and hard to find at times on the road(van life). Any repairs are insanely expensive. The consensus was the Ford, Nissan, and Ram were not without problems but very reliable for the most part. Lots of van life websites and YouTube channels to keep you busy for weeks comparing vans. In the end I never pulled the trigger on a van but bought a piece of property thats an outdoor paradise instead(which costed less).

I did a while back for an MB work truck, 3500 4x4.

Decided against it, for a number of reasons, none of which was the vehicle.

One of our volunteers told me the whole van life market is collapsing and prices are plummeting?

As much as I'd like to believe this because I always thought it was dumb and idealistic, I have no idea if it's true?

Post your findings and experiences.

My buddy with an AWD Express calls the elites "Sprinter bros." I thought that was rather apropos.....

Need to talk with the right people at Ford. All the sales weenies don't even know the Transit options. Frustrating!

QUESTION: Is it worth the extra dough to get a dualie?

Transit is your best option.

For a very expensive brand, the quality is way way below par Pablo. IMO, For the money, These vehicles should be better from every aspect, than Toyota (Acura) and Lexus (Toyota) and most all other luxury brands, the pinnacle that gauges all others and they are definitely not IMO. Other items that failed that slipped my mind. Steering wheel clock spring just under 35000 miles. Side window leak around the seal. Drivers window scratching itself they replaced window and guides all under the manufacturers warrantee. Ok I'm done. If I have had these issues others have as well. No, no vehicle will be perfect. If you are in the salt belt (and I think you are) get a good Fluid Film or oil coat on the underside frame etc. Up here in the northeast its below a grand for a car. Or get the kits on eBay or amazon and spray it yourself.

ENJOY THE TRANSIT!!

Peace
