Anybody order parts for Japanese cars from IMPEX Japan?

I submitted this order which I guess is just an inquiry, as they didn't ask for payment:

These are parts to rebuild my Civic R transmission. These would cost me over $800 at my local Honda dealer even with my 30% discount, or over $1200 list price. Seems too good to be true. Has anyone here bought parts from them?

Are you saying you ordered parts and that they may be, say, bin checking your order?

I don't know how they work but assume they have to check availability from Honda first.

I've placed about a dozen orders with them and have nothing but good things to say. Never had anything come damaged though.

-shipping is generally affordable (volume weight is usually the killer if choosing a private courier but EMS allows for actual weight so you should be good).
-only takes them a few days to get the parts so availability isn't that much longer than waiting from a dealer

almost thought to myself it's best to keep it a secret as loose lips sink ships..

@atikovi Did you ever get your order? How did it go? I was thinking of trying to buy Genuine Honda OE from them. Pricing seems too good to be true.

Yes, came last week. Cost under $400 with shipping. Would have been over $1000 retail at a Honda dealer.

Yes, Japanese sellers will verify they can actually source the parts before making you pay. This is how it should be IMO.

@atikovi that’s awesome! I’m considering using them for an upcoming job. I was wondering about the actual shipping charges. Did it stay relatively within expectations?

Pretty much. Fedex shipping was calculated around $45 but they added another $4 I guess after putting it in the box and got the actual cost.
