You were probably the target audience of that reply....? Not sure what you are tilting at.

I'm subscribed to Precision but have never watched much. I'm sure I would love it, it's that I'm kinda scared to see something that involved.I really like Precision Transmissions channel and although not really automotive related I watch a lot of Happiness by the Mile. That’s the stuff I’m in to.
Still not following you.You were probably the target audience of that reply....
I also have no clue what is the meaning of the confusing response from Hillbilly DeluxeStill not following you.

I can characterize every Car Wizard video as follows: "Here's a car that's barely running, thanks to years of neglect from a previous owner and incompetent service from his various hack mechanics. Only I the all-knowing Car Wizard can properly diagnose and repair it". Then he'll do so - off camera of course - and send it on its merry way.Car Wizard is also fun to watch, although you don't see much of the work being done.
You nailed him !I can characterize every Car Wizard video as follows: "Here's a car that's barely running, thanks to years of neglect from a previous owner and incompetent service from his various hack mechanics. That is some funny stuff right there.I can characterize every Car Wizard video as follows: "Here's a car that's barely running, thanks to years of neglect from a previous owner and incompetent service from his various hack mechanics. Only I the all-knowing Car Wizard can properly diagnose and repair it". Then he'll do so - off camera of course - and send it on its merry way.
This is boggles my mind. Don't get me wrong, I like him and he does seem to be an excellent mechanic, but people that will drive a thousand miles for him to work on their car need help. Same thing happens with other YT mechanics. If I were those guys (or girls), I'd have a special rate for them - $300/hour for non-locals.He has a constant back log. People bash him for not taking on their work.
I strongly disagree. He is not prideful or getting more prideful. Perspective matters. I am from the area. He's a real good mechanic, but he's getting more and more prideful and arrogant with every passing video. All the success has swelled his head up.
Eric O has said in a couple of videos that he primarily only wants to take local area work in and does not cater to out of state customers with very few exceptions. He has been burned trying to schedule shop time for these people to only have no shows, expecting same day resolution and late to pick up and pay. This is boggles my mind. I know he's said (while the phone is ringing) that they have gotten to the point of not even answering their phones anymore and only deal with drop-in customers. Maybe with phone calls, they do depend on caller ID to screen calls for local area codes.and does not cater to out of state customers with very few exceptions.
I enjoy his humor too and to me it's incredibly obvious he does his best to keep it PG. I think hanging out with him when he could just speak freely would be a blast because I suspect we share the same views (but not the same level of skill ‐‐ I'm not some stalker suggesting Eric and I are twins separated at birth)I, having come originally from an upstate NY small town, appreciate what he's up against. I appreciate the way he uses logic, reason and good data to determine what the problem really is rather than firing "The Parts Cannon" as so many others do, including, apparently some local dealers. He's really a skilled mechanic/technician, and given the variety of makes he deals with, a pretty savvy guy. He takes pride in his work, can't find any fault with that. I enjoy watching him solve problems that others have given up on. Any way you look at it, it's a tough way to make a living.
