Any tips to get very hardened sap off paint?

Looks like the main ingredients are naptha, and xylene.

For some types of sap, yes , others not so much.

I used creamy peanut butter to get some very sticky stuff off my headlights. Might work on tree sap.

Put a healthy dollop of Duke's Mayonnaise directly on the sap, cover with a wet paper towel and wait 2 days.

You can get it at Amazon (of course). Bought mine at auto paint supply house. Local bodyshop says thats what they use on paint because it's safe. I use it to remove wheel weight adhesive on painted wheels with no issues.
