Picked up some new line for my 2 spinning reels yesterday at Sportsmans and went went SpiderWire Stealth braided. Is this stiff any good? I've wanted to go braided for a while now and finally decided to do so upon receiving a new pole for my birthday last weekend. TIA!

SpiderWire Stealth is tough stuff! I've fished with it in the past. Lately I've used it to repair failing seams on jeans, as it is about a billion times tougher than cotton thread.

Been years since I tried SpiderWire.
Used Fireline for a few years.
Now PowerPro last few years.
River fishing for salmon, stripers, and on occasion sturgeon.

Mono for all other fishing.

I have been using it since it came out, late 90's maybe.

I miss the Fusion.

Same here. This & Fireline. Love it. Many times, especially in deep water, you want a line with zero stretch to ensure a good hook set. Tough as nails too.

For some reason I thought this was either some sort of software or a new computer cable.

Here is a review on braided lines http://www.paulusjustfishing.com/4linereview.htm.

I've used braided but like using monofilament. I use the Bear Monofilament Fluorescent Line made in Brazil(Japanese). Bought cases of the stuff at a good discount years back. Top quality line.

For whipping, the monofilament produces a smoother lure action where as the braided from my experience resulted in a stiffer rigid action.
