Any secrets for bleeding PS fluid on a Honda?

It may just be easier to disconnect the lines, and rotate the steering wheel several times with the engine OFF to remove the fluid than to start the car and run the pump dry.

As a last resort, you can try this method of draining and then refill very, very slowly and see if it solves the problem.

note: sorry yes it is a cut and past. i just didnt see to wright it two times, sorry. on some of the hondas had trouble with the power steering pump PULLING IN air to the system. making it hard to turn. i know its rare to pull air INTO a hydraulic system, the air went IN past the seal, but didnt leak, but my sons honda did it, but it wasnt so bad that we had to do fix it.

Yeah, that is the most efficient method of flushing PSF but it needs some works. The easiest way is siphon/refill the reservoir every time you do oil change, each time you will replace only 6-7 oz, doing once or twice a year will refresh the fluid and no need to do a complete flush.

There is a TSB on the "O" ring at the inlet elbow to the PS pump. It gets hard and lets air pass but doesn't leak fluid.

I think it is on U tube.

If you mean A06-020, that does not apply to the '07 Civic. I can't find any other TSBs on PS leaks on recent Civics.

Agreed but similiar leaks are a good place to look.

I just wanted to update everyone that I know someone that works for a Honda dealership, and he asked the shop foreman about my issue. He said it's definitely air that's stuck in there, so what they usually do is run the car, turn the wheel all the way to one side, then turn the car off like that and leave it for 20 minutes or so. Then turn the car on, turn the wheel all the way to the other side, shut the car off, wait 20 minutes, repeat as needed. I'll let you know if that works out.. good info. to know.

check to see if the pulley shaft isnt sucking air IN to the pump. which sounds backwards. my son had Accord that did that
