Any Ravenol users here?

I used it in my MB for the first three years of ownership. First FDS, then moved on to VST 5w-40. I liked them both very much, got great fuel economy and kept the engine spotless as far as I could see into the valve cover.
When the price went through the roof, I could no longer make the argument to choose it over Mobil1 Euro 0w-40.

VMP, VST, RUP, RSS, and SSL look to be excellent oils depending on one's needs. Whether or not they are worth the cost is another matter.

I used some Ravenol products in the past. Currently, I am using 0W20 VW 508/509 spec, Ravenol VSE, the PAO versions. Ravenol also has VSH 0W20, cheaper 508/509 spec.
I used original VW oil made by Shell. It is GTL oil and I do not feel the deference in engine sound or power using GTL or PAO. Hoever, I notice the difference when I switched from group III Mannol 7722 (508/509) to VW original oil. I did not notice any difference between Castrol 0W-20 Volvo spec, Mannol 7918 API SP spec, and Mannol 7722 VW spec.

Ravenol is honest when stating if the oil is Fully Synthetic (PAO) or mainly HC Synthetic in their desciptions.

The engine sounds smoother with GTL and PAO, but it maybe just placebo.

Ravenol oil in the US doesn’t usually make sense from a price perspective. It’s good oil, but not substantially better than what can be found on store shelves, certainly not to the degree which the price would allude to.

However, their driveline fluids certainly fit a niche that is not always readily available. In those instances, Ravenol is tough to beat.

Yeah, 3 really good boutiques for driveline fluids …

I used Ravenol occasionally, and they are good but too many choices. For 0W-20 alone, they have group III (EHS and VSH). The trully fully synthetic PAO+Ester/Alkylathed Napthalene are VSE, DFE, ECS, EFS. I think RNF is blend and not labeled as fully synthetic in German standard.

I found that the most expensive VSE (~15€ per L) has a very high % of PAO. In the MSDS alone, it is listed up to 65% 1-Decene homopolymer alone. I am not sure if it is C30, C40, or C50. Meanwhile the VSH, that is also has C20 Porsche approval, is 90% group III, but cost 10€ per L.

I put the VSE on my 1.8L Corolla hybrid 2016. The engine sounds just as quiet as Shell Ultra/VW Genuine oil (GTL), but cost 30% more.
