Someone here posted they used them on a couple vehicles last year. I don't recall they had any results beyond the confidence factor and can't find the post anyway. Hate it when that happens.

I know that Canton is very popular with the speed-boaters around here, but I know of no results good or bad in a UOA. -Joe

I may be right behind'ya. The only problem I have is that the vehicle I want to use one in ( 01 Daewoo Leganza (

) It will only take the equivalent of the PF-47 and I am concerned with the clearance of the PF-52. Its my daughter's car and with extended oil changes I'm not sure how long it will go (with 8 microns)

Well - after further reading it has depth media and they claim flow is higher and the filter can go 10,000 miles. I think I am sold.

What exactly does "filter down to 8 microns" mean? Just claiming that doesn't mean much. Chicken wire could capture one or two 8 micron particles.

What are the beta ratings?

A couple of us have emailed them about this. They don't have data beyond the "8 micron" spec which is probably what they get from their media supplier.

It's only a few hundred to have one of the independent labs conduct tests. Anyone game?

That's quite true and also I didn't realize that the housing for the replacable elements is so expensive. So much for these filters

Folks,

After verifying the cost of the replacemenst elements I've decided to forego purchasing this filter. For the cost of replacement media I can go and buy 4 or 5 of the trusty ole Supertechs.
