What is the charge voltage of the NOCO in normal mode? In AGM mode? As long as the voltage in normal mode in not higher than specified for your particular AGM battery, it will be OK. But AGM batteries are less tolerant of overcharging than flooded batteries.hey all, i may have charged a agm battery using the noco genius 2 normal mode rather then the agm mode. is this any ill effect to the battery? or is it fine?
thx
I charged it back up on the 2amp setting, that small battery sure charges quick compared to a regular flooded lead acid. I think that's what the internet was saying that it can easily be overcharged with a regular chargerIt’s better than nothing. AGM has lower self discharge.
Just don’t do it again![]()
How big was the battery? Slower and lower is often better, no heat, less overpotential, less gassing. Some batteries can take it, others have a harder time.I charge

Like 400cca basically a riding mower batteryHow big was the battery? Slower and lower is often better, no heat, less overpotential, less gassing. Some batteries can take it, others have a harder time.
Sounds like you went safe and it’s fine. If you’re above sulfation voltages, you’re not damaging anything. You’re good.
what voltage is above sulfation voltage? It was flat dead at like 11v when I initially checked it and it slowly came up and I took it off once it was holding like 14v and it was right at 12.6v resting. I think this side by side is like a car where it has stuff on it that draws a small amount of juice to retain settings and such. My boat doesn't have this problem it has two batteries with a battery switch and I constantly forget to switch to the other battery so it can get charged/used too.How big was the battery? 100% SOC for the specific alloy.what voltage is above sulfation voltage?
