It's a Champion Lab's filter. If you do a search on here for Champion Labs, you should find a great deal of information.

Another source of info is here: Oil Filter Study

There is a guy on here that has worked for Champion Labs and he could probably provide you with loads of information.

Champion Lab's made filters (not ment to be a full list, just to give you an idea):

AC Delco
Valucraft
Bosch (USA Made)
Super Tech
STP
K&N Oil filters
Mobil1

I believe the STP to be in the same class as Super Tech and the like. A good filter all in all.

I think it is a mid pack filter. In common numbers, usually for the price, you can pick up an OEM, usually your best buy. If you find Wally's convenient, you can pick up an ST, or check the Valuecrafts, likely almost as good as the STP. It doesn't carry the bragging rights of a WIX or Mobil 1.
