Any desk clock experts?

So I have 2 of these(wehrle clocks) :

None of them work, I am trying to see if I can repair them. First, how can I open their back plate?

Thanks, so few things which I just tested. Whenever it's 2:00 it'll strike 2 times, if it's 9, it'll strike 9 times. Now it's off, so striking one additional time. Say for 9, striking 10 times, for 3, striking 4 times.

Any idea?

If you've never done this before and have no knowledge of clocks, you will wreck them in a hurry, and that may make you sad. Clock are very delicate creatures and are easily wrecked; the slightest distortion will wreck them.

Different clocks have different procedures. On our mantle clocks, if the get out of sync I just change the hour hand to the chime hour. Our wall clock will automatically sync up after a couple hours. Our grandfather clock has to have the hands removed and the centers of the hands have to be adjusted.
