Any concerns about using "old" VSOT?

I've got two bottles of the "old" VSOT (old being the label has a "1999" copyright), but have been adverse to using them. Granted, a copyright/trademark date has nothing to do with when something is actually produced, but I know these bottles are at least five years old. Is there any reason to believe that additive pack has lost any efficacy?

Note: The vehicle I'm thinking of using them in is an old Grand Caravan w/an oil leak. As I've got a bunch of 5w30, I was thinking about using VSOT to thicken it up a bit...and any additive properties would just be a bonus.

I have about 14 bottles of it, 1999 Vintage, that was the good formula IIRC. It changed after that I think. Use it without worry, I would mix or shake it up though.

I have about 8-9 bottles, I'm using about 1/2 oz VSOT per quart of oil in my cars. With this rate I will use the last bottle in about 8-10 years. Since it is very thick, I poured the amount of VSOT I would be using into a quart bottle and mixed with the same amount of oil before poured the mixed into the engine.

Wish I had some of the "old" VSOT
