Any bad experience?

Anyone had a bad experience using non Honda P/S fluid?

In a Honda of course!

I'm wondering the same thing, I've heard stories, but I'd like something first hand.

And on that note, has ANYONE added Auto-RX to their Honda/Acura power steering, and what, if any, effect did it have?

Don't do it! I knew someone personally who did this and ruined the rack. Use only Honda fluid. Don't know if additives will hurt, though.

I bought some PS fluid at Walmart labeled "For Honda vehicle" and would like to know if anyone's used it.

well those fluids that are sold aftermarket that say 'for honda use' i just say, why not go to the dealer and get it there. im iffy on using other fluids especially when the system only says honda fluid. its cheap at honda.

preventave matinence for going to honda at least for their power steering fluid.

actually i do have a little bit of slick 50 in my resavor...my dad put it in long time ago...but a little is less than an OZ but i havent found nothing bad yet.

as of now im in the middle of auto-rx for my power steering...steers much better now =)

I've used the Walmart's Honda p/s fluid. I wouldn't worry about using it. I don't think Honda makes any of their own fluids, but has others make to their specs.

at least its not a multi vehicle fluid..for honda only.......
